Cream of mushroom soup recipe
Serves 4-6 people
Ingredients
1 oz margarine or butter
1 oz plain flour
Half pint chicken or vegetable stock
Half pint milk
4 oz mushrooms
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons single cream (optional)
Method
Finely chop mushrooms.
Place all ingredients except cream into a large pan.
Bring to boil, whisking continuously over a moderate heat.
Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the cream
